Channel 5 kids' TV presenter Amy Thompson coming to The Hut in Withernsea
The Hut at Withernsea is taking part in the Holiday Activities and Food programme, HAF, a government funded scheme to provide, in conjunction with East Riding of Yorkshire Council, healthy food and holiday enrichment for children in receipt of benefits-related free school meals.
Amy Thompson, a presenter on Channel 5's 'Milkshake' Kids' TV programme, and originally from Hull, will be leading sessions including arts, craft and dance, ideally for the under 8s, on Thursday, 18 August from 10.00am - 12.00noon and Thursday, 25 August from 10.00am - 12.00 noon.
Trevor Pardoe, general manager of the Hut, said : " We are delighted to welcome Amy to The Hut! Her previous sessions have already proved popular, and I know these next two will be equally successful. We are proud to be able to run these HAF funded events, for children in receipt of benefits-related free school meals."
The Hut is on Station Road in Withernsea and is free of charge for all children and young people. Children under eight must have a responsible adult with them.
The Hut is open from 10.00am - 3.00pm Monday - Friday with different activities taking place each day including skateboarding, boxing, Martial Arts and Dance.
There is no need to book in advance for any of the activities, including the sessions with Amy Thompson.
