Welcome to Pocklington Market

A council operated market with a variety of stallholders for local produce, craft and every day items.

The historic town of Pocklington is known as the gateway to the Yorkshire Wolds.

Having been granted a royal charter by King Edward I in 1299, the town holds a popular weekly market every Tuesday in the town centre.

The market features a wide range of stalls selling everything from fresh fruit & vegetables, fresh locally sourced meat and fish to clothing and even handcrafted furniture!.

The town is home to Burnby Hall Gardens and Museum, set in nine acres of gardens and woodland, which has won the Yorkshire in Bloom Gold Award for Country Houses, Estates, Parks and Gardens seven times.

The award-winning Pocklington Arts Centre attracts musicians, comedians and actors from around the world.

Visitors to the market can also take advantage of Pocklington's close proximity to the Yorkshire wolds, popularised by the paintings of renowned artist Sir David Hockney.
